Unfortunately - I have a large position in XIV that was profitable yesterday and is now looking ugly ... I added at $84 and am crossing my fingers.

ugggh, Kevin, hoping for you brother. well, you are a pretty patient guy so we know XIV is going to upper 90's..just would be nice to catch the bottom. and when the bottom arrives DUST might finally explode ..

I sold Soxl at close yesterday as I felt a bad day coming and I'm all in cash. I really want to get back in Uwt but feeling there may be a better entry so I'm kind of stuck.

Im going to just take a chance and try to control myself shorting DWT and going long UWT for about 4 months. I'm not all in though and there could be a 20% pullback.
Uvxy, Tza short look like a possibility here, wait for red candle.

Next Xiv add will occur when SPY bounces off of lower acceleration band, as we are firmly in a bull market
until TVIX goes under Weekly CCI(39). Just part of my own personal system, there's much more to it.

This whole thing is a nice relaxed controlled down, you should be scooping and adding all the way.
This whole thing will last 4-10 days.
Add to Xiv, add to uwt. Just pretend you're waiting for your home to appreciate.
You don't have to daytrade, that's just an illness.

That is the smartest thing posted on this thread to date. My tendency is to rush a trade rather than be patient and stick to my tested systems. And today I specifically appreciated this comment - a timely reminder.

partially offset by kevin's valid point of 'take profits when you have them'. still not comfortable with consolidation periods, which i suppose gets back to confidence in the trade. You guys short inverse ETF's, which is where the margin is. but if you are the slightest bit unsure about the trade, you could be slinging french fries at mcdonalds.!
Just want to point out how freaky this day is. right now, both TVIX and XIV are down at the same time a decent amount, and JNUG and DUST are both up at the same time a decent amount. Or am i smoking something....????
